What is a Patient Participation Group?
A Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a representative group of patients who kindly take time from their schedules to attend special surgery meetings to share feedback on services, staff experiences, and ideas on how we can improve our services. This helps us understand how patients perceive our surgery and what we can do to improve.
What does being a PPG member involve?
Being a part of our PPG can be a rewarding experience and our members are often involved in:
- offering perspectives regarding service quality, responsiveness, and overall experience
- providing constructive feedback, suggestions, and ideas for enhancement
- serving as a conduit between the surgery and the surrounding community
- providing opinions and insights to the surgery before information is shared with the broader patient population
- gathering opinions and insights from patients
- assisting in health promotion events
- maintaining regular communication with the patient community
- encouraging people to take more responsibility for their own health
How can I join the PPG?
PPGs thrive on a diverse range of input from a diverse range of people and we’re excited to see what we can accomplish with your input. If you are interested in joining our PPG, please complete the registration form below:
